About Tax Training Day

Tax Training Day is one of our signature events that help accountants sharpen their professional skills and learn the most up to date knowledge from the leaders in the industry.
The differences between this event and other events are that we aim to keep the event intimate (max 65 pax), interactive, and engaging so that you enjoy the training and never get bored throughout the day.
From 2018 to 2025, we ran a number of successful Tax Training Days covering both areas of Superannuation and Tax. Previously, our expert presenters covered topics such as Tax Planning, Testamentary Trusts, Superannuation and Divorce, FBT and Salary Packaging, Compensation payments, and more...

Typical Event Schedule

The event starts at 9:00 AM with Peter Johnson, Director of Advisers Digest, providing an hour presentation on a superannuation/small business CGT concessions/trusts-related topic.
Senior Tax Trainer, Karen Vella will then give a thorough presentation on a special topic. These special topics are chosen based on the feedback from our attendees. We cover what you want to learn!
Previously, we covered special topics such as Family Trust Elections, Testamentary Trusts, CGT Rollovers and more.

Karen will also provide a comprehensive Tax Update covering all relevant changes over the past three months.
The event will conclude at 5 to 5:30 PM.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from other tax training events?

This tax training day will not be like any other tax training events that you have attended in the past, where you get spoken at and end up receiving very little value or benefit.
Our presenters are professional tax trainers & superannuation expert, they have great reputations to make the event interesting, engaging and you'll get your questions answered. We purposely make our event small so that you get to know other attendees and actually take away practical advice.

What's your refund policy?

Refunds are provided with 30 days' notice before the event when you have purchased a single event ticket. If you have purchased all two events, refunds are provided with 30 days' notice before the first event. No refunds will be provided thereafter for the second or third event as we have already reserved your spot.
If you booked the ticket and don't show up, no refunds will be provided as we have already reserved catering and your spot.
However, if you receive our free bonuses, there will be NO refund available as we've given you extra freebies.
If you cannot make it to the event at the last minute, you can find a replacement to attend the event on your behalf and email us at info@AdvisersDigest.com.au so that you get all the event information on time.

Can I drive to the event?

The venue (Rydges Sydney Central) is in the heart of Sydney's CBD only a walking distance away from Central Station. You can easily get there by public transport via the tram or train station.
If you decide to drive, there is full-day parking for guests at the hotel.

Do you cater for different diets?

Yes, we cater for different dietary requirements. Our venue Rydges Sydney Central has a dedicated restaurant that you can enjoy your meal and mingle with other attendees.
The event also includes delicious morning and afternoon tea.

Can I book the event later?

Tickets are on a first in, first served basis. We cannot guarantee how long the tickets will last since we are capped at 65 seats. Our previous events were sold out.

You normally pay for this kind of event at $600-700 PER SESSION. Our price is fairly affordable. It's value for money :-)

Do I get presentation slides & papers?

Yes, we send you the presentation slides and research papers from our presenters before the event so that you can go through them either before the training day or after. Those are distributed via an email so that you can download them or print them as you wish.
